Worship Ministry (Along with Paul Kearns)
The Worship Ministry is responsible for all aspects of our Worship Service and ensuring a successful service. To do so requires a lot of help from a lot of people before, during, and after the service. These areas include:
  • Greeters - Each Sunday morning there is a need to have members greet people as they arrive at the building. Greeters are there to assist people who may need help getting into the building, to direct visitors, to hand out the worship brochure, and in general to make people feel welcomed. This is a critically important first impression.
  • Audio-Visual - This includes running the sound system and ensuring the hearing aids are working as well as working with the visual aids such as the announcements before service, displaying the song list, and providing any visual support needed during the service.
  • Prepare Communion - Each Sunday the communion trays must be prepared before service and cleaned after service and made ready for the evening service. Most of the time you will sign-up for one month at a time.
  • Worship Assignments - During Worship there are needs for men to Make Announcements, Lead Prayer, Serve on the Communion Table, and Lead the Communion Table. This is a great way to get involved in the service.
  • Song Leaders - Song leaders are always needed and appreciated. If you are able to lead songs, you are encouraged to sign-up.
Anyone willing and able to serve in any if these areas is welcome and encouraged to sign-up.
  Properties Ministry
The Properties Ministry is focused on being good stewards of the building and grounds that God has blessed us with. Our goal is to maintain and keep the building and grounds so as to create a comfortable and pleasing environment for worship, fellowship, teaching and service to the community.
Opportunities for all to serve include the areas of landscaping, painting, repairs, cleaning, and decorating. Members with training in the areas of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry wishing to volunteer should contact the Deacons in charge. Needed repairs should also be reported to them.
